Empowering you with information
Find answers to common questions about our services, eligibility, and how we support you through the NDIS journey.
What qualifications does your staff have?
Our staff are qualified with a Certificate IV in Disability Support, equipping them with the essential skills to provide person-centred care. They also hold First Aid and CPR certifications, ensuring they are ready to handle emergencies and provide immediate care when needed.
How experienced is your team?
Our team members have several years of hands-on experience in disability support, mental health and community support. They bring essential skills in personal care, empathy, active listening and problem-solving — delivering compassionate, personalised support that fosters independence and enhances quality of life.
Do you support people from diverse cultural and language backgrounds?
Yes. We know how important communication and cultural sensitivity are. Our team speaks multiple languages, including:
- Mandarin
- Spanish
- Arabic
- Italian
- Vietnamese
- Punjabi
- Greek
- Hindi
Do I need to be registered with the NDIS to access your services?
Yes, individuals must be registered with the NDIS to access our services. If you're not yet a participant but are interested, we can help you with the NDIS application process — explaining the steps, eligibility and necessary documents so everyone gets the support they need.
What NDIS services do you provide?
As a registered NDIS provider we offer a broad range of personalised supports, including accommodation/tenancy assistance, daily personal activities, household tasks, travel and transport, shared living (SIL), community participation, supported employment, support coordination, funding management, group activities and life-skills development.
How do you ensure the quality of your staff and services?
We maintain quality through a thorough hiring process (background checks, references and interviews), ongoing training, regular performance reviews, active participant feedback, experienced supervision, a quality-assurance framework with audits, and a clear incident-reporting system so issues are reviewed and resolved.
Do you charge travel fees?
Yes, we do charge travel fees. We strive to keep these reasonable and transparent. If you have any questions about specific travel fees or how they're calculated, please feel free to reach out for more details.
How do you communicate during emergencies?
All staff follow clear communication protocols. Each participant has an emergency contact plan, staff receive crisis-communication training, and we use accessible methods suited to each person. Regular drills, ongoing check-ins and post-emergency follow-up ensure everyone feels supported.
What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?
SIL is NDIS funding for the day-to-day support you need to live in a shared home — help with cooking, cleaning, personal care, medication prompting and building routines, with support available up to 24/7. It pays for the support, not the rent or the house itself. Read our plain-English guide to SIL, or see our SIL service.
Which areas of Sydney do you cover?
We're based in Westmead and support participants right across Greater Western and South Western Sydney — including Parramatta, Merrylands, Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Penrith, St Marys, Liverpool, Fairfield, Campbelltown, Bankstown, Auburn, Guildford and Wentworthville. See all areas we serve, or call to check your suburb.
Can I switch to Reliable Care Solutions from another provider?
Yes — you can change NDIS providers at any time, and it doesn't affect your funding. We make the move simple: we handle the paperwork, coordinate a smooth handover and can usually start quickly. Our step-by-step guide to switching providers explains how.
Do you support self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants?
Yes. As a registered NDIS provider we can support participants whose plans are self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed. We'll set up a clear service agreement (and service bookings where needed) so everything is transparent and compliant.
How much do your services cost?
Our services are charged in line with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (the NDIS Price Guide). If a support is funded in your plan, there's generally no out-of-pocket cost to you. We'll always be clear about pricing and any travel charges before you start.
How quickly can support start?
After a free, no-obligation chat and a short assessment, we match you with a suitable support worker and can often begin within days, depending on your needs and worker availability. For SIL and higher-intensity supports, we'll plan the details with you and your support coordinator.
How do I get started?
